Madeline Sarman, LCSW

Madeline Sarman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois, providing therapy for adults, seniors and families. She offers individual counseling tailored to each client’s unique needs and supports individuals navigating anxiety, caregiver stress, depression, grief, life transitions, and the emotional and practical challenges that come with significant change. She brings a strong background in case management and clinical assessment, with a demonstrated history of working within hospital and healthcare settings.

Her therapeutic approach is rooted in meeting clients where they are - with compassion, steadiness, and a genuine commitment to walking alongside them through some of life’s most difficult seasons. She creates a safe and nonjudgmental space where individuals and families can process their experiences, build resilience, and move towards healing and greater well-being. Madeline incorporates evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Motivational Interviewing to help clients identify their goals and take meaningful steps toward them.

Madeline earned both her Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Outside of the therapy room, Madeline enjoys cooking, discovering new restaurants, spending time near the water, listening to podcasts, and watching nature documentaries. She shares life with her husband, an energetic toddler and two dogs. After spending the past 10 years in Austin, Madeline is happy to be back in her hometown of Chicago.
