Hope Marwede, LPC Candidate
Hope Marwede is an LPC Candidate in the state of Illinois, providing therapy for adolescents, young adults, and adults. She offers individual counseling tailored to each client’s unique needs and supports individuals navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, body image, and boundary-setting. She has a particular heart for teenagers and young adults, meeting them where they are and helping them move toward greater wellness and self-understanding.
Her therapeutic approach is rooted in warmth, openness, and genuine connection. She values listening to people’s stories and exploring the life events that have shaped their perspectives, fostering increased self-awareness and self-compassion. She incorporates evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person-Centered Therapy, mindfulness, and collaborative goal-setting, while creating a safe and nonjudgmental space for growth.
Hope earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sustainable Systems Management from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities.
Outside of the therapy room, Hope enjoys pursuing her love of baking. While living in Minneapolis, she worked at a patisserie and is now on a quest to perfect her croissants at home. She also enjoys lifting, exploring coffee shops, reading, and playing chess.
